In the preliminary survey done by KVK, Lengpui, it was found that most of the fish farmers are cultivating IMC and exotic carps. So, a farmers training was organized on composite fish culture to provide knowledge, skill and scientific attitude towards composite fish farming. Other than this there are some pivotal area in the fisheries sector e.g. fish seed production, fish cum pig farming, weed management, feeding management etc. where definite thrust in the form of training is vital to increase the fish productivity in the district. Some of them are in planning stage and some of them will be implemented very shortly. Farmers were also taken to visit Shri. Laldenga’s Fish Farm at Lengpui. After this they were supplied with an appropriate questionnaire to get over all feedback.
