North Eastern Council’s (NEC) Double cropping Scheme is being implemented by KVK, Lengpui at suitable areas within Mamit District. The scheme is presently benefited by about 300 farmers and beneficiaries are likely to increase in the next cropping season. Main thrust areas are Dialdawk Valley & Darlak – Bawngva Plains. In the Rabi season, rice variety IR-64 was distributed and farmers have reported good yield. Yield assessment is yet to be made after completion of yield report from various areas.
